"Sports fans and others patronize this action-packed seaside spot. It's the island's best sports bar and grill, with giant TVs broadcasting the latest games. To make things even livelier, there's karaoke. The place has ""indestructible"" furniture, and an aggressively informal crowd. Bring the kids along; no one will mind if they make a ruckus, and they can order from the basic kids' menu. The regular menu changes nightly, and every night there's a theme, such as lobster night or Italian night. Most popular is carnival night, when a West Indian all-you-can-eat buffet is presented along with a limbo show."
"This restaurant is housed on the second floor of the industrial-looking ferryboat terminal at the edge of the harborfront in Charlotte Amalie, departure point for boats headed off to the British Virgin Islands and St. Croix. Established in 1963 by the then-owner of the famous Pump Room restaurant in Chicago, it does a thriving breakfast and lunch business among local boat owners and downtown office workers. The draw is some of the best West Indian cooking on the island, a cuisine that takes the preparation of callaloo greens very seriously (they're fabulous), and the nuances of pounded conch steak and grouper with fries with devotion. If you want something ""international"" (meaning American), the menu lists club sandwiches, steaks, chicken dishes, and burgers, but virtually everyone who comes here orders the West Indian food."

"This restored 18th-century home is a striking example of classic Danish-West Indian architecture. There seem to be arches everywhere?seven to be exact?all supporting a ""welcoming arms"" staircase that leads to the second floor and the flower-framed front doorway. The Danish kitchen is a highlight: it's housed in a separate building away from the main house, as were all cooking facilities in the early days (for fire safety). Inside the house you can see mahogany furnishings and gas lamps."
